Mr. Kemp’s Fifth Grade Class Website

Spelling: Test Thursday.  Here are the words: bunk, staff, dock, slept, mist, bunch, swift, stuck, breath, tough, fond, crush, grasp, dwell, fund, ditch, split, swept, deaf, rough.  The challenge words are: trek, frantic, summit, rustic, mascot.

Soc. St.: Timeline of My Life assignment was explained today.  It is due Thursday.

My Bag Project- We began working on it today.  Students were given bags and began brainstorming and paragraphs.  The whole project is due Thursday.  Students will present them in class on Thursday.

Spelling: write misspelled spelling words 5 times each.  Put spelling word list on refrigerator to study for test on Thursday.

Project: My Bag Project is due Thursday.  Students have the directions in their yellow homework folder.  They may begin working on the project, but we will officially begin working on it in class tomorrow.  You may want to bring pictures and magazines to school tomorrow to place on the bag.

Welcome to my class website.  This is the place you can visit to find out about homework assignments and upcoming events.  The first post of the school year will be on Monday August 16.  I post homework and other information Monday – Thursday.  The best way to get in touch with me is by e-mailing me at kraig.kemp@eusd.net.  I check my e-mail during the school year Monday – Friday usually twice a day.
